Suspect sought in armed robbery of Kalihi Valley convenience store

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of a Kalihi Valley convenience store.

The couple who owns Ono Market said a man brandishing a gun forced his way into the store early Saturday morning. They said the robber, who was wearing a mask, forced one of the owners to open the cash register while threatening him.

According to owner Myung Hui Oh, the robber told her husband, "You wanna die? Give me money, or I'll kill you."

The owners said the robber escaped with at least $600. They said they have been robbed three times before, twice at gunpoint, and another time with a knife. They have only owned the store for four years.
