HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Rescuers on the Big Island have recovered the body of a man swept away in a flash flood.
The Hawaii County Fire Department says the body of 43-year-old Ernesto Combes' was found Wednesday.
Combes was fishing for prawns in a stream Sunday night when a sudden downpour caused waters to quickly rise.
The search had been suspended Tuesday with rescuers only able to recover his prawn spears.
After river conditions subsided Wednesday divers located his body at the bottom of a pond about 30 feet deep.
