NEGROS, PHILIPPINES (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It occurred near Negros, Philippines which is about 357 miles south east of Manila.
There is no reported tsunami threat to Hawaii.
The quake happened at 4:47 a.m. local time Tuesday (4:47 p.m. ET Monday), according to the USGS.
