Honolulu (HawaiiNewsNow) - Here's a look at what's happening in your community this weekend.

Saturday  morning, Mothers Against Drunk Driving will hold a walk to remember retired navy officer John Tyner and other victims killed in drunk driving crashes.  Members of the military and community will join them.  The walk starts at 9 am at the MADD Hawaii Victims' Memorial in Kakaako Waterfront Park. A potluck-style family picnic follows at 11am.

Saturday the city will hold its last Free Emergency Preparedness Workshop in Kapolei.  The goal is to help families be prepared with evacuation plans, insurance and more.  Experts from the Department of Emergency Management, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center and other agencies will be on hand.  The workshop starts at 8:30 am at Kapolei High School cafeteria.

Did you know Saturday is Wyland's birthday?  The artist, known for his beautiful underwater paintings, turns 55.  Help him celebrate at Sea Life Park with a day full of arts and science activities and live music by Henry Kapono.  Keiki can even help him paint a collaborative mural.  Entry to the park costs $12 dollars per person, or $40 dollars for four people with a Foodland Maikai card.
