Man accused of shooting two people in Mililani appears before judge

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Mililani resident accused of firing a gun at two men on the Fourth of July made his initial appearance at Honolulu District Court Wednesday morning.

Richard Silva, 43, is charged with attempted murder and firearms offenses. A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for Friday.

Investigators say Silva shot Chadwick Ceno and Travis Joaquin at Kipapa Park after an argument at the Shack in Mililani. Ceno was last reported to be in critical condition. Joaquin was in stable condition.

According to court documents, the three men are long-time acquaintances.
