HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - South shore waves have grown in size overnight Wednesday and triggered a High Surf Advisory.
There have been reports of head-high surf at some Waikiki surf spots Wednesday morning. The biggest waves may occur with the low tide about 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon and then slowly decline.
The National Weather Service expects the High Surf Advisory to be up until Thursday evening.
A new, reinforcing swell is expected to start rolling in on Friday and could keep the advisory posted into Saturday.
