Honolulu (HawaiiNewsNow) - Realtors closed on 147 home sales on the Big Island last month.  Both the number of sales and the median price were down about 9%.  There were 49 condo sales, also down 9%, but condo prices rose.

Hawaii information service counts 27 home sales and 28 condo sales on Kauai in June.  Home prices down less than 5% from a year ago while Kauai condo prices were down 13%.

The Kahuku Village Association is trying to line up financing for 80 families to buy their plantation homes outright.  The landowner plans a condo conversion that would force them out.
