Man killed in motorcycle crash was father-to-be

EWA (HawaiiNewsNow) – Grieving family and friends gathered at the site of a deadly motorcycle crash near Campbell Industrial Park Sunday.

Police say at about 12:55 AM, the Kapolei man lost control on Malakole Street, slid into concrete barriers, and was thrown from his bike.

His pregnant girlfriend identified him as Tyron Antonio, 21.

"Go speed limit and just take all your precautions and be safe because it's really a horrible feeling to lose someone you care so much about," Charlyn Gishi, crash victim's girlfriend, said.

Investigators say Antonio was not wearing a helmet, and that speed may have been a factor.

It's the 26th fatality on Oahu roads this year, compared to 30 at the same time last year.
