PALOLO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters rescued three people hiking on two separate trails on Thursday.
A woman reported her teenage son lost on Waimao Trail in Palolo at about 8 p.m. after he was separated from a hiking partner.
A Honolulu Fire Department helicopter was able to locate him in good condition. Firefighters then hiked to his location to escort him out.
At about the same time, a man and woman hiking the Aiea Loop Trail called for help after becoming too tired to hike out.
Firefighters reached the couple about two miles from the trailhead.
