KIPU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kauai officials have identified the visitor who drowned at Kipu Falls on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Santhosh Heddese of Irvine, Calif.
Witnesses say the 35 year old jumped from the top of the falls into the pool below. Heddese was spotted swimming underwater towards shore, but did not resurface.
Emergency and rescue crews responded to the scene where they recovered Heddese's body from the bottom of the pool.
