Police searching for Waipahu sex assault suspect

WAIPAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police and CrimeStoppers are looking for a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a female while impersonating a law enforcement officer.

The incident happened on May 30 at a Waipahu apartment complex at around 2:15 a.m.

According to officials, an unknown male knocked on the victim's apartment door and identified himself as a FBI agent. The suspect then informed the victim that she was under arrest and escorted out of the Kunia Terrace complex. He then walked behind the apartments and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a heavy set local male in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt with the words "Justice Cop" on the front and red basketball shorts.
