Police searching for female suspect in Chinatown bank robbery

CHINATOWN (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are searching for a woman responsible for robbing a Bank of Hawaii branch in Chinatown Friday morning.

The incident happened at around 10:15 a.m. at the Bank of Hawaii located on King and Maunakea Streets.

According to officials, the suspect approached the teller and demanded money. She fled on foot on North King Street.

The suspect is described as an African-American female, believed to be in her 30s. She is 5'0" and weighs between 180 to 200 pounds. She also has black hair.

She was last seen wearing a red shirt with a flower design and dark shorts.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police.
