HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - University of Hawaii Warrior quarterback Bryant Moniz is one of ESPN's short list for Heisman Trophy contention.
Moniz is one of eight quarterbacks named to ESPN's contenders for the 2011 Heisman Trophy.
According to ESPN's website, "The biggest obstacle for Moniz will be getting consideration."
Last season, Moniz threw for 5,040 yards, 39 touchdowns and 15 picks.
Those numbers are better than Colt Brennan's statistics the season he finished third in the voting.
