Authorities charge shooting spree suspect; bail at $5 million

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Prosecutor's Office charged Toby Stangel with 15 felony counts Saturday night in connection with Friday's shooting spree that left one person dead and three others seriously injured.

Prosecutors charged Stangel, 28, with three counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts for shooting at two police officers and one count for all the people he fired at. He was also charged with one count of second-degree murder for the death of Tammy Nguyen

Stangel's bail was set at $5 million. He is scheduled to make an initial appearance in District Court on Monday. He also is set to appear at a preliminary hearing, scheduled on Wednesday.
