Play suspended at 5 City golf courses Friday

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The City and County announced five golf courses will be closed on Friday due to lightning.

The City's golf courses include:

  • Ewa Villages
  • Kahuku
  • Pali
  • Ted Makalena
  • West Loch

The West Loch Golf Course will also be closed Saturday.

Play is expected to resume when officials deem it is safe for golfers to enter the courses.

    An eviction gone wrong on the Big Island ended with after a lengthy standoff and the arrest of two people Monday evening.  According to police, the landlord of a home in the Hawi area of North Kohala attempted to evict a couple from the home around 9:45 a.m. During the eviction, the couple, identified as 27-year-old Lucas Wolf and 28-year-old Britney Wolf, showed resistance and acted aggressively, police said.  Britney then allegedly fired a single shot and...
