HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A floating body was reported between the boats and river mouth of Honolulu Harbor Thursday morning.

The Coast Guard, Honolulu police and fire crews responded to the call just after 9 a.m.

At the scene, officials discovered the floating body was actually a homeless tent.

However, it is not the first time this type of incident has occurred.

"Here at Honolulu Harbor we have a lot of sewage and waste coming down from the river. So just last week we also had a homeless tent coming drifting down here too," said Tim Gray, Hawaii Pilots. "I know some pilot boat operators, over the years, have found some bodies floating in here. So it's not the first time."

Officials used Gray's boat to assist in the search.

Crews used a boat hook to retrieve the tent.
