Makakilo family receives belongings after delay with moving company

MAKAKILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the past month, multiple complaints have surfaced about the southern California-based moving company, Pacific Island Logistics.

Robin Tuaniga and her family were the first of more than a dozen customers who made the move to Hawaii and came forward about the moving company's poor service.

After four months of waiting, the Tuanigas finally have their household goods.

"It's like a release of stress, a burden off their shoulders. Now they can finally do what they need to do, especially since my son's motorcycle is here. It gives them two vehicles so he can go to work and she can go on interviews for a job," said Robin Tuaniga

Pacific Island Logistics never followed up with the Makakilo family.

Instead, the Tuanigas received a call two weeks ago from an investigator with the Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration saying their belongings were on their way..

The Tuanigas and other customers are may pursue legal action against the company.
