Man wanted for questioning in sex assault case

BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a minor.

According to officials, the assault occurred on Oct. 1, 2010 in Kurtistown located in the Puna District.

Police describe the man as a local, scruffy male between 18 and 30 years old. He is between 5'7" and 5'9" and weighs about 175 pounds. The suspect has short buzz-cut black hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion.

He was last seen wearing a blue aloha shirt with a blue hibiscus print and driving a gold or light-colored four-door Honda or Mazda sedan.
