KAILUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are looking for suspects in a violent home invasion in Windward Oahu in which a gunshot was fired and at least two people were injured.

Investigators say a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were in the living room of a home in Kailua just after midnight Tuesday, when three men stormed in. One suspect reportedly held a gun on the victims, while the other two intruders searched a separate room.

Police say the gunman fired a shot when the 19-year-old male victim and a third occupant -- a 25-year-old man -- began to fight back. No one was injured by the shooting.

The two male victims suffered minor injuries from the scuffle. Investigators say one of the suspects may have sustained injuries to his face.

The case is classified as a first-degree attempted murder, a second-degree attempted murder and a first-degree burglary.
