Verdict in taxi driver murder case delayed until June

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The man accused in the beating death of a taxi driver will learn his fate next month.

The murder case of 19-year-old Michael Robles has been delayed until June 2.

The verdict will be decided by Circuit Judge Dexter Del Rosario instead of a 12-member jury.

Robles says it was his co-defendant, Kilani Derego, who repeatedly punched and kicked 41-year-old Ty Tang last year.

However, Derego says he was not with Robles that night.
