Aiea man charged with attempted murder

AIEA (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Aiea man has been charged with second-degree attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man Thursday night.

According to police, the incident happened at Makalapa Park.

Police say BK Bisek was drinking with a 52-year-old man. When the alcohol ran out, Bisek demanded the victim to buy more.

An argument ensued and Bisek allegedly stabbed the victim.

Bisek remains in police custody on $30,000 bail.

    There's good news for those who had to put their plans to visit some of Hawaii's natural parks on hold.  With the end of the federal government shutdown, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Haleakala National Park will reopen Tuesday. Volcano park officials say they will reopen with normal operations on Tuesday at 8 a.m. Those wanting to catch the sunrise at the house of the sun — Haleakala — may do so Tuesday morning.  Park officials ...
