Police investigating $12K sushi maker theft

HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hilo police are investigating a burglary involving a $12,000 sushi maker.

The incident happened on Feb. 20 at a business on Kilauea Avenue.

The electric appliance weighs almost 100 pounds. It's about 20 inches high, 22 inches long and 14 inches wide.

According to officials, it's an Autec brand, model ASM830A. It may not have the green rice hopper attached at the top as depicted in the photo.
