HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Barry Flanagan, Paperkut Doctors, Hollow Sphears, Kiana and a team of artists and poets will showcase their talents at the Neo-Steampunk Art & Music Benefit Show.
The event takes place Saturday, May 21 at Fresh Cafe on 831 Queen St. The art show, slam poetry and freestyle contest will be held between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. The winner receives a $50 cash prize. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 at the door and $30 VIP.
Used and/or new musical instruments will also be collected for disadvantaged or homeless youth.
The event is produced by the Guardians of Arts and Music Foundation, a Hawaii-based organization that provides informal multi-disciplined arts and music programs to disadvantaged, orphaned and homeless young adults between the ages of 12 and 20 in the state of Hawaii.
