Rodeo Round Up, Fire Ronald McDonald Campaign, and Soulful Music on this Thursday

Here's an official invitation to join our Sunrise ohana for a rodeo round up, Magnum movie facebook campaign, "let it rip" about a move to fire Ronald McDonald and more.

NEWS THAT BROKE WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING

A watermain break caused a big mess on the Kapolei Parkway. Taizo will update us on traffic every 10 minutes.

HAPPENING TODAY: PRESIDENT'S MIDEAST SPEECH

President Obama is expected to pledge economic aid to nations in the Middle East that embrace democratic reforms, while revealing details about sanctions on Syria. We'll follow this live on Sunrise.

KAUAI GLIDER CRASH INVESTIGATION

NTSB investigators say it will be a challenge to learn exactly what caused a light aircraft to go down off Kauai, killing 2 men. The preliminary report will take at least one week.

LET IT RIP

Seriously? A watchdog group is calling on McDonald's to fire Ronald. They blame childhood obesity on the fast food chain. Yes, it's a problem. But, is this the solution? Let us know what you think on our Hawaii News Now facebook page. We'll let it rip about the move to dump Ronald at 6:10.

HAWAII HIGH SCHOOL RODEO COMPETITION

Malika will "cowgirl up" for a rodeo round up featuring talented high school students.

MUSIC FROM KIMIE MINER

The self-taught songwriter and guitarist has been compared to artists Lauryn Hill and India Arie. She'll perform live from Studio B at 7:40.

LOOK WHAT WE'VE STARTED

Cue the Magnum music. If you were watching Sunrise earlier this week, we interviewed actor Tom Selleck and asked about the possibility of a Magnum movie. He said "he's never been asked." So, I started a "We Want a Magnum P.I. Movie" facebook page to let Hollywood know that Hawaii wants Tom in a Magnum movie. We started with 4 likes yesterday and the momentum builds. 600+ and counting. Join the club.

Hope to see you on Sunrise!
