Baby Steps: New Baby Expo 2011

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Parents have a checklist to get ready for a newborn. So what are some hot must-haves? Kanoe Gibson Nitta has pulled some new products you'll see at this weekend's New Baby Expo.

New Baby Expo 2011 takes place Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. General admission is $4.50 per person. Children five and under are free.

Baby Crawling Contest
Saturday, May 14 at 1 p.m. Main Events Room
Contestants will receive a t-shirt and gift just for entering and the opportunity to win great prizes. Don't miss the New Baby Expo Baby Crawling Contest. Babies starts your motors and race on down and watch those photo finishes.

Hawaii's Largest Baby Shower
Sunday, May 15, at 1 p.m. Main Events Room
Each expectant mom will receive a baby shower gift bag, play shower games and win 5,000+ in great prizes.

Costume Character Photo Opportunities
Main Stage

  • Nickelodean's Kai Lan: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 12 noon to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Clifford: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 12 noon, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday at 2 p.m.
One lucky winner will be chosen from the audience to receive a makeover and model in the Noe Clothing Fashion Show. The winner also gets to keep the entire outfit. Get there early to be eligible.

Aloha Clowns & Entertainment
Saturday at 3 p.m.
Hawaii's original airbrush face and body painting, balloon twisting and magical bubble show company.

Coradorables Rock the Runway 2011 Fashion Show
