COMMUTERS AWAIT NEW PLAN TO EASE CONGESTION
A new plan by the state will use a Zipper Lane to help ease traffic for West-bound commuters heading out of town. Brooks Baehr will have the latest on the plan, tonight at 5.
CONCERN OVER ENDANGERED HAWAIIAN MONK SEALS
Researchers are saying don't be fooled by the frequent sightings of rare and endangered Hawaiian Monk seals on our shores. Apparently, it belies what's really going on. Jim Mendoza will have a special report, tonight at 5, and look at why the seals overall population is at risk and what scientists are planning on doing to get those numbers up.
FUNDING FOR SECURITY FOR APEC MEETING: WHERE WILL IT COME FROM?
Bills that were part of Governor Abercrombie's legislative package this year to help with security for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in November died at the legislature this session. Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz joins us live in studio to discuss how security will be handled -- and who will pick up the tab. That's tonight at 5:30 on KHNL.
