WAIPAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's time to celebrate the origin of Pidgin at the Hawaii Plantation Village Museum in Waipahu. Saturday marked the opening of a University of Hawaii at Manoa exhibit, "Pidgin: How was, how stay,".
The exhibit explains how Pidgin English and Hawaii Creole developed, using creative samples and displays.
The exhibit will include documentaries on Pidgin, tours of the exhibit, plus fun activities and ono local grinds. The event is free, and runs from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at 94-695 Waipahu Street.
