Big Island mother and daughter reported missing

BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police are searching for a 28-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter, who have been reported missing. They were last seen April 27 at their Kona home.

Marcelle Ignacio is described as Filipino, 5-foot-6 inches tall, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Her daughter, Mahealani Ignacio, is described as Filipino-Hawaiian, 4-foot-2, 70 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone with information on their whereabouts call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe.
