Hawaii News now receives six EMMY nominations

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 40th Annual Northern California Area EMMY® Award Nominations were announced Thursday and Hawaii News Now has received six Emmy nominations, including one of the year's top awards.

· News Excellence: "Hawaii News Now" (we were also the 2009-2010 Winner)

· Newscast Daytime: Sunrise on Hawaii News Now, Michael Harris, Scott Humber, Grace Lee

·  Entertainment Special: The Kamehameha Schools Song Contest 2010, Heather Giugni, Producer

· Historical Cultural Special: Lantern Floating Hawaii 2010, Roy Ho, Shinji Kondo, Atsushi Matsunaga, Producers

·  Commercial Single Spot: "Audi - Winner" Terry Wheelock, Writer / Director; Christina A. Ludewig, Editor / Graphic Designer

· Graphic Arts: "Christina Ludewig Composite," Tina Ludewig, Editor/Graphic Designer

The EMMY® award is presented for outstanding achievement in television by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). San Francisco/Northern California is one of the twenty chapters awarding regional Emmy® statuettes.

NorthernCalifornia is composed of media companies and individuals from Visalia to the Oregon border and includes Hawaii and Reno, Nevada.

Entries were aired during the 2010 calendar year.
