Heightened Military Security Adds to Traffic

FORT SHAFTER - (HawaiiNewsNow) Military installations in Hawaii and across the country are on heightened security alert. Some of the increased gate screenings have added to the traffic backlog during the busy morning commute. Ramsay Wharton is live from Fort Shafter off the Moanalua Freeway, but its seems nearby exits for Tripler Army Hospital have become the real problem with drivers backed up in long lines at a standstill.

    An eviction gone wrong on the Big Island ended with after a lengthy standoff and the arrest of two people Monday evening.  According to police, the landlord of a home in the Hawi area of North Kohala attempted to evict a couple from the home around 9:45 a.m. During the eviction, the couple, identified as 27-year-old Lucas Wolf and 28-year-old Britney Wolf, showed resistance and acted aggressively, police said.  Britney then allegedly fired a single shot and...
