HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A series of thunderstorms swamped much of the state this afternoon with heavy rain along with thunder and lightning. The storms are dissipating although thunderstorms could develop again tomorrow.
The Big Island and Maui County are drying up while Oahu still has widespread rain. Oahu's thunderstorms have moved offshore and things will settle down throughout the night.
Numerous Oahu neighborhoods experienced power outages mostly likely caused by the storms.
Take precautions now as another round of severe weather could fire up again tomorrow.
