Rainbows suffer second loss in WAC

FRESNO, Calif. (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Rainbow baseball team suffered just their second loss in WAC play Sunday, falling to No. 13 Fresno State 4-2 at Pete Beiden Field. Hawaii (24-18, 9-2) took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning off of Jesse Moore's first career homerun and an RBI single by Kolten Wong.

The Bulldogs tied things in the bottom of the 5th with an RBI by Brennan Gowan. In the 7th Gowan struck again, belting a 2-run homer off Zack Gallagher (4-2).

The Rainbows and Bulldogs play their series finale Monday at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time (3:00 p.m. HST).
