HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The "Waikiki Spam Jam" is set for this Saturday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will fill Kalakaua Avenue in the heart of Waikiki with one of the largest street festivals in honor of Hawaii's love affair with the lovable luncheon meat.
There will be a variety of food booths serving unique SPAM menu items and revelers will enjoy live entertainment on two stages – one with Hawaiian music accompanied with traditional hula halaus and the other will have classic soft rock. The event is free and open to the public.
Two tents will be set-up to collect donations of Spam for the Hawaii Foodbank. The goal is to collect 10,000 cans of Spam. It is the most requested food item at the Hawaii Foodbank.
