New Lowe's opens in Iwilei

IWILEI - (HawaiiNewsNow)  Hawaii's newest Lowe's opens its doors to the public this morning, giving consumers now 3 hardware stores in a one mile radius. Ramsay Wharton strapped her tool belt on...and joins us live from the new Nimitz Highway store to tell us more.

Thursday, April 28

  • 10 a.m. Grand Opening festivities including Lowe's Board Cutting ceremony
  • Gift Card Match Day - Buy a Gift Card, Help Build a Home. Purchase a Lowe's Gift Card on Thursday, April 28, and Lowe's will match purchases up to $5,000 to support the Honolulu Habitat for Humanity's next building project.

Saturday, April 30

  • At 10 a.m., the store will feature the Tic Tac Toe board Build & Grow project. Lowe's conducts Build and Grow clinics bi-weekly as a way for parents and adult mentors to spend quality time with their children—free of charge.  The clinics are recommended for children in grades 2 to 5, and each clinic provides hands-on instruction to approximately 50 children.
