HNN GM Blangiardi named Salesperson of the Year

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Rick Blangiardi, General Manager of Hawaii News Now, has been named the Honolulu Salesperson of the Year by the Sales and Marketing Executives International.

Blangiardi has been an executive in the television industry for more than 34 years, succeeding in senior executive positions in many of the nation's most competitive markets, including Seattle, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami.

His outstanding sales, marketing, and leadership skills have resulted in improved ratings, revenue, and operating profits of every broadcasting entity with which he has been affiliated.

In addition to his busy schedule as General Manager of Hawaii News Now, Blangiardi gives freely of his time to make a difference in the community by serving on the boards of numerous business and community organizations.

He is a former chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and past director of Central Pacific Bank.

He is currently a director for the Hawaii Food Bank, Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation and the America Red Cross. He is also president of Aloha Council Boy Scouts and president of Na Koa, the University of Hawaii Football Booster Club.
