HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A grand jury Wednesday indicted Michael Edward Manning Jr. on robbery and several other charges in connection with a crime spree that left one suspect dead and created a major traffic jam on the H-1 freeway and Pali Highway.
Manning has now been charged with first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, being an accomplice to robbery and being a felon in possession of ammunition.
He remains in police custody, unable to post $250,000 bail.
Investigators say he and Mark Ah nee, 28, were on a crime spree last Thursday -- stealing and ditching vehicles -- when officers caught up with them in East Oahu.
Ahnee was shot and killed by police.
An autopsy on Monday revealed that Ahnee was using crystal meth and died from blood loss and after he was shot in the thorax and suffered injuries to his spleen, kidney and lung.
