Emergency Preparedness and Disabilities

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)-U.H Center on Disability Studies Emergency Preparedness Special Initiative announces the launching of the Hawaii Feeling Safe, Being Safe (FSBS)emergency preparedness training.  FSBS materials and Webcast were in part through a grant from Homeland Security as a tool to help people with intellectual/developmental disabilities become better prepared in an emergency.  Recognizing the value, of FSBS training, the Administration for Developmental Disabilities funded modifications and culturally relevant adaptations, to meet the emergency preparedness needs of Hawaii and the Pacific.
