Baseball 'Bow lose first WAC game to Louisiana Tech

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Perfection no longer exists in Manoa, the University of Hawaii baseball team lost for the first time in WAC play Sunday, 3-0 to Louisiana Tech. Hawaii fell to 6-1 in conference and 20-15 overall.

Zach Swasey led the 'Bows in the losing effort racking up 3 hits in 4 at bats, as UH out hit the Bulldogs 8-4, but it didn't result in a single run for the Bows.

Connor Little (3-2) equaled a career-high eight strikeouts in the losing effort, allowing three runs in the first inning of play.

In the bottom of the 9th inning Breland Almadova had runners on the corners with two outs, but he grounded out to third to snap Hawaii's 8 game win streak.

The Rainbows and Bulldogs wrap up their series Monday. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. and can be seen live on K5.
