Victim identified in fatal Kalihi pedestrian accident

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- A Wahiawa woman was killed when she was hit by a vehicle on Dillingham Boulevard at Kamehameha Highway in Kalihi at about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday.

The Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Evelyn Ogata-Rose, 53. An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of death.

The road was shut down the Ewa bound lanes between Puuhale and Middle Street for about two hours this morning.

Ogata-Rose was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but emergency crews have confirmed she died just before 8 a.m.
