EAST MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Department of Health (DOH) is investigating two suspect cases of dengue fever in East Maui.
According to DOH officials, no additional cases of dengue fever have been confirmed.
The DOH has received 42 reports from physicians statewide of suspected dengue fever that are under investigation or pending laboratory confirmation. Thirteen of those reports have been ruled out or determined negative.
Since Mar. 24, four locally-transmitted cases of dengue fever have been confirmed, all of which in the Pearl City area. All four individuals have recovered from the illness since then.
