Music, food benefit Japan victims

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii's top chefs and entertainers come together to help the victims of Japan. Lei Day for Japan is being presented by Hawaiian Airlines, and will take place Sunday, May 1 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Aloha Tower Marketplace.

There will be continuous live entertainment and more than 25 food stations offering the cuisine of Hawaii's leading chefs, including Roy Yamaguchi, Alan Wong and Chef Mavro. All proceeds raised are being donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Tickets are now available for $100 per person for general admission, $1,500 for reserved tables with seating for 10, and $5,000 for a limited number of VIP tables with seating for 10. VIP table sponsors will enjoy table service and preferred seating near the music and hula performances.
