BABY LEFT IN LOCKED, ENCLOSED CAR
A young baby was left in a locked car in Haleiwa yesterday. Police were called to a scene on Oahu's North Shore after a 5-month old baby girl was reportedly left unattended in the enclosed vehicle. Minna Sugimoto is covering this story for us and will have more tonight at 5.
ALLEGED BEER THIEF DIES
Honolulu Police say a man who, allegedly, had just stolen beer from a convenience store, was run over by a tour bus and died. It happened last night in Waikiki. We'll have more on this story tonight at 5.
HOW SAFE IS INTER-ISLAND AIR TRAVEL? AIRLINE ANALYST WEIGHS IN
Jim Mendoza, tonight at 5:30 on KHNL, speaks with an Airline Analyst about traveling inter-island by air. Is it safe, in the analyst's opinion? We'll find out. This, of course, in the wake of the Southwest Airlines plane that lost an upper section of its fuselage while in flight earlier this week.
NATIONAL GUARD TO DEPLOY
Get ready to ship out. That's the word given to some members of the Hawaii Army National Guard. We'll have the latest on the notification given to the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and its possible deployment to Afghanistan in 2013.
BEST BEACH NOT IN HAWAII
And Hawaii isn't even in the Top 5 Beaches, worldwide! Of course, we here in Hawaii surely disagree. Tonight at 5, what beach was given the title of "Best Beach" in the United States.
