KANEOHE (HawaiiNewsNow) - On Sunday, a Navy Salvage team began retrieving loose pieces of the helicopter wreckage in Kaneohe Bay.
According to officials, the team will bring the helicopter back to the base in pieces.
All of this comes after a CH-53D Sea Stallion helicopter crashed into the bay on Mar. 29, killing Marine Corp. Jonathan Faircloth. The 22 year old was one of four crewmembers aboard.
