HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Disney Parks Talent Casting is seeking male and female actors to bring to various characters to life at the brand new Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, opening this summer in Ko Olina, on the island of O`ahu. Entertainment performers will bring alive the spirit of O`ahu with the magic of Disney, providing guests with memories they will cherish forever.
All auditions take place at 10 a.m. at Nix Performing Arts Center, 98-025 Hekaha St. Suite 221A, Aiea, HI 96701. Sign-in takes place between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
Monday, April 4
Role: Aunty/Uncle
- Aunty* - Warm Aunty- type, loving, endearing, clever, radiant, filled with the spirit of aloha, able to hold any size audience, a singer who also plays the ukulele, ideally Halau Hula trained, experienced in engaging and working with children.
- Uncle* - Wise elder, gifted storyteller, powerful physical presence, likeable, approachable, natural at improvisation and memorization of scripts, ideally can sing and also play the ukulele, experienced in engaging and working with children.
*Please come prepared to tell a brief island legend (preferably geared toward children); be prepared to sing a verse of your favorite song a cappella; additional material may be provided at audition.

Wednesday, April 6
Role: Emcees/Hosts
Emcee/Host - Youthful, energetic, able to retain choreography, must be Halau Hula trained, out-going personality, adaptable, able to improvise, comfortable interacting, confident, team player, excellent hosting and facilitating skills, comfortable using a microphone, strong background working with children of all ages.
Material and instructions will be provided for performers at the audition.

Thursday, April 7
Role: Disney Character Performers
Disney Character Performers - Bring to life the world famous Disney Characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and others. Energetic, passionate, creative, out-going personality, experienced in engaging and working with children, good physical coordination, comfortable interacting with hundreds of guests each day in shows, meet-and-greets, and activities across the Resort, must be Halau Hula trained. Be prepared to participate in a physical improvisation exercise and possible movement combination.
Requirements:
- Performers must be at least 16.
- Please provide a current headshot and resume.
- Please dress in comfortable clothing and footwear (no bare feet). Performers will learn a simple movement routine and improv acting exercise.
