MILILANI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police may have a new serial bank robber on their hands, a man with an affinity towards American Savings Bank.
The American Savings in the Town Center of Mililani was held up Tuesday. Investigators believe the suspect pulled off two other bank heists earlier this year.
Just after 9 AM Tuesday, police say the suspect -- wearing a white hat, a traffic safety vest, a blue long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans -- walked up to a teller and demanded money. The suspect was described as being 5'4" to 5'6" tall and weighing 180 to 200 lbs.
Investigators believe the same man wearing the same get-up robbed the Wahiawa branch of American Savings Bank January 24th, and also held up the branch that was hit Tuesday back on February 2nd.
A different outfit was seen in the February 2nd case.
Police say those three are the only unsolved bank heists on Oahu this year. Call Crimestoppers at 955-8300 if you have any information about the suspect.
