SEARCH FOR BODYSURFER

Rescue crews continue to comb waters near Sandy Beach today on the island of Oahu. They're looking for a bodysurfer who went missing there late last week. Tonight, we hear from the man's family. Minna Sugimoto will have the latest details at 5.

LAWMAKERS & THE SHRINKING BUDGET

With the 2011 legislative session more than halfway completed, state lawmakers continued today to wrestle with the state's budget. Will they raise the General Excise tax, legalize poker tournaments, raid the hurricane fund, or cut spending in vital areas? Jim Mendoza will have a full report tonight at 5.

PALI TREES GET THE AX

Some trees along the Pali Highway were ordered removed today by the state Department of Transportation. Most of the trees are located near are near the spot where a tree fell on a City bus a couple of weeks ago, injuring the driver.

HAWAII IS #1

A new survey finds that Michigan, Louisiana, Nevada, and Delaware rank at the bottom for states with the best "quality of life." Hmmm, so where does Hawaii rank? You may or may not be surprised with the Aloha state's performance. Tune in at 5.
