National Geographic Contest called "Expedition Granted" has local girl

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- A young marine biologist, is chasing her dream to try to save the Hawaiian Monk seals and their habitats. Dashielle Pappas, or "Dash" is in a National Geographic Contest called "Expedition Granted." 
    It's down to just two people and if she gets enough votes she'll receive $10,000 dollars to study a particular group of monk seals that's thriving.
