HONOLULU - City crews will resurface part of Kamehameha Highway near Sunset Beach starting March 28 as part of the Board of Water Supply's ongoing water system improvement project.
The resurfacing will involve roving single-lane closures on Kamehameha Highway between Pupukea Road and Kahae Road from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Work is expected to take about one week to complete.
A contraflow lane will be in place and special duty police officers will be on hand to direct traffic.
Sign boards will also be in place to notify motorists of the lane closures.
This paving work is the final phase of the BWS's ongoing water system improvement project that replaced an aging 8-inch water main on Kamehameha Highway between Pupukea and Kahae roads.
