HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A teen accused of stabbing a classmate -- some say in a dispute over a girl -- appeared before an Oahu judge Tuesday.
Zoe Michael Espinola, 18, is charged with attempted murder and made his initial appearance at Honolulu District Court. His bail is set at $100,000.
He was 17 when he allegedly stabbed his 16-year-old teammate from the swim team during math class at Kalani High last May.
On Monday, Family Court waived jurisdiction over him and sent the case to adult court.
A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for Thursday.
