Coming up on Hawaii News Now Thursday

Aloha! Here are some of the stories we're working on for Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30 on this Thursday.

THE HOMELESS HERO & THE PALI BUS ACCIDENT

After the terrifying moments yesterday when a 60-foot Ironwood tree slammed into a city bus, we meet the homeless man who may have saved lives in the incident. Minna Sugimoto has the story of the man who says the scary ordeal changed his life. That story is at 5.

HAWAII RADIATION FEARS?

Worried about radiation fears with mail, cargo, and people arriving from Japan? You shouldn't be. Federal inspectors say they are going on with standard procedure to detect any radiological threat. What they say about whether they've detected any radiation in goods and people from Japan. We'll have that story tonight at 5.

BOGUS SALVATION ARMY EMAIL

And be careful when deciding how to give to the Japan quake and tsunami relief effort. The Hawaii Chapter of the Salvation Army has issued a warning regarding a bogus email solicitation.

I hope you'll join me for these stories and more tonight on Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30. See you then!

Aloha,

Shawn Ching
